Full Time - Permanent - 40 Hours per week

Salary: £28,500 OTE

Who we are

Natural Fit Royal Tunbridge Wells is a fresh innovation in fitness and well-being, through Gym, Classes, Spa, Cafe and Work space. Located on Calverley Road, a few minutes' walk from the train station, Natural Fit is a combination internally of great architecture and blissful ambience. Built inside a large, beautiful Georgian building, this is a space filled with bespoke gym equipment, beautiful spa facilities and a health-inspired Café; think of it as a Country Club in the city.

We have an exercise ethos based around re-awakening everyday functional movement in a guided environment, whether through members’ classes or guided exercise on the Gym floor. We seek to re-align the body’s natural sequence, helping our members move fully, with freedom and flow, from adult life through to later years. The Spa, Café and Lounges provide space to relax, re-invigorate and meet with friends.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hard-working, mature-outlook, energetic, flexible and experienced Team Manager, to provide excellent, attentive service levels to our members in all areas of the Club and oversee the Operation of the Café and Kitchen.

Assisting and supported by the Club Manager, your role will be wide and varied, representing the company’s core beliefs and values. It will include:

  • Training and Management of our Team Members
  • Involvement with Marketing and sales generation
  • Involvement with members’ exercise needs
  • Responsibility for the operations and high standards within the Kitchen and Café
  • Daily food and beverage preparation for use throughout the day
  • Helping to devise healthy menu items to satisfy our customers
  • Overseeing the health and safety within the Kitchen and Café
  • Serving our members in the Café
  • Management of stock levels and maintaining P&L records

This is a 40 hour week on a five day rota across seven days’ Club opening.

About You

We value personal attributes above all else.

  • You will have enjoyed and be able to demonstrate open connection and communication with customers in previous roles.
  • You will have a minimum Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene - desired Level 3 - with a proven background in the preparation of simple but wholesome, nutritious food for service in our exclusive Members café lounge
  • You’ll have a strong involvement in exercise and fitness, and of course a keen interest in nutrition.
  • You must be confident in communicating with people both face to face and by telephone, and you must enjoy satisfying customer needs to the highest level.
